Brian Potter, MS, ATC, EMT, OTC

Brian is Certified and WV registered as an Athletic Trainer, with experience providing sports medicine services in high school, collegiate, clinical, and physician office settings. Brian’s particular interests include emergency care in athletics, care of the throwing shoulder, and orthopedic bracing. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2003, and a Master of Science in Health and Physical Education from Marshall University in 2005.

Brian has been very active professionally, previously serving on the West Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association (WVATA) Executive Committee, and currently serving as a member of the WVATA Governmental Affairs Committee. Academically, Brian has served as an adjunct instructor in Exercise Science at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and is a clinical preceptor for the Athletic Training education program at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Brian has had several publications in professional journals, and has given presentations at state, regional, and national sports medicine conferences. Outside of athletic training, Brian is actively involved in emergency medical services as a field provider, training officer, and also serves as an instructor for a variety of EMS courses.
